
1:1 Care 3rd Grade School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Owatonna, Minnesota in Clinton Falls, MN
Job Description
A school-based nursing professional is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 care for a medically fragile student in an elementary school setting in Owatonna, MN. This is a contract position for the current school year (CSY), requiring onsite presence with approximately 35 hours per week. The nurse will assist the student throughout the school day in both nursing and paraprofessional capacities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized nursing care to a medically fragile pediatric student.
• Assist with daily activities and support needs within the classroom setting.
• Accompany the student on the school bus to and from school, leaving your vehicle at the students home and returning to it upon drop-off after school.
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote a safe and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications:
• Must hold an active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.
• Prior experience working with pediatric populations is necessary.
• Ability to perform 1:1 care and effectively communicate with children and staff.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to the unique needs of medically fragile students.
Location: Elementary school environment in Owatonna, Minnesota.
Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week for the duration of the school year.
