1:1 Nurse Needed for Pre-K Student in Maryland in Newark, MD

A school district in Maryland is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to provide individualized, one-on-one medical care for a Pre-K student during the school day. This position focuses on supporting a medically complex student to ensure safe participation in school and transportation while following established care plans and nursing protocols.

Contract Dates:
• ASAP through June 11, 2026

Hours & Schedule:
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Monday–Friday, 6:50 AM–3:30 PM
• Nurse will accompany the student on the bus to and from school daily

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver continuous 1:1 nursing care to a Pre-K student in a school setting
• Provide care related to an open stoma status post tracheostomy removal
• Administer oxygen on a PRN basis as ordered
• Complete and monitor tube feedings throughout the school day
• Monitor the student’s condition and promptly address any medical concerns
• Accurately document all nursing services, including medications, feedings, and daily care logs
• Work under the guidance of the school nurse and collaborate with school staff to support the student’s daily activities

Qualifications:
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or valid Compact RN license
• Pediatric, school nursing, or medically fragile experience preferred
• Comfortable providing hands-on medical care in a school environment
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Setting:
• Onsite, school-based assignment
• Dedicated 1:1 nursing support for one student
