
1:1 Pediatric 1:1 Care School Registered Nurse | Northfield, Minnesota in Bridgewater, MN
Job Description
A school-based healthcare professional is needed to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a medically fragile elementary student in Northfield, MN. This is a contract position for the current school year with a commitment of 35 hours per week, delivering essential nursing care and assistance in a paraprofessional role throughout the academic day.
Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to a medically fragile student within an elementary school setting
• Assist the student with daily activities and health needs alongside educational staff
• Safely accompany the student on the bus to and from school, leaving a personal vehicle at the students home and returning via bus
• Monitor and document health status and respond to any medical needs or emergencies appropriately
• Collaborate with school staff and families to support the students well-being and educational participation
Qualifications:
• Active Minnesota Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric populations, ideally in school or medically fragile settings
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with strong communication and organizational skills
