Location: 47 Long Lots Rd Westport (10437) Shift: Full-time, day shift RN, 7:00am-3:30pm. Must work every other weekend. Join an exceptional team where every moment matters! St. Vincent's Behavioral Health Center, a 76-bed inpatient facility, specializes in care for children, adolescents, and adults facing mental health and dual diagnosis substance use challenges. Key Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care to individuals with behavioral health needs in accordance with facility policies. • Conduct detailed bio-psychosocial assessments to create personalized nursing care plans aligned with treatment objectives. • Participate in treatment team conferences to adjust patient goals and interventions catered to individual needs. • Implement nursing care plans and facilitate engaging group therapy sessions. • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, revising care plans collaboratively with the treatment team as needed. • Assess patient needs across physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual dimensions to ensure comprehensive care. • Document nursing care plans in collaboration with patients and families, providing holistic support. • Administer care per physician orders, ensuring thorough documentation of all provided services. • Identify and address changes in patient conditions to modify care plans proactively. • Delegate care responsibilities to nursing staff based on expertise to enhance care quality. • Utilize proficient nursing skills to meet the demands of behavioral health patients while collaborating effectively for optimal outcomes. • Carry out additional duties as assigned. • Adhere to the ANA Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and Code of Ethics. Qualifications: • Current Registered Nurse license from the Connecticut Department of Public Health required before hire. • BLS Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross must be obtained within 60 days of hire. • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. • Prior experience in an acute care psychiatric setting is a plus. • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage challenging patient situations using MOAB training techniques.
