**Overview:**
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital. As an Advanced Acute Care Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our advanced acute care medical unit. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package. **Responsibilities:**
• Assess, plan, organize, and evaluate patient care to meet the needs of patients and their families
• Promote adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of patient care, promote safety, and maximize patient satisfaction
• Coordinate patient care and interaction of staff to ensure the best possible patient outcomes
• Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure
• Collaborate with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs
• Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice
• *Qualifications:**
• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required)
• Licensed Registered Nurse (Pennsylvania) - RN_State of Pennsylvania
• Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
• Experience in an acute care setting preferred
