Job Description Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse OR Physician Assistant (Nurse Practitioner/Clinical Nurse Specialist OR Physician Assistant) • This position is posted until filled and may close at any time. If yes, then this job as an Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse OR Mental Health Physician Assistant with the Division of Correctional Health Services is the job for you! Job Responsibilities • Provides medical consultation in specialized areas of knowledge. • Provides direct and/or indirect patient care oriented toward improving or maintaining health and preventing illness. • Provides in-services for direct care staff on methods of patient care; oversees direct care staff in administering prescribed treatments. • Coordinates clinical activities and follow-up. • Maintains and updates patient charts, records, and information. • Assesses client/patient needs. Develops and implements plans to meet those needs. • Recommends, advocates, and/or implements new and/or changes to existing policies and procedures, laws, or regulations. • Working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team. Minimum/Required Qualifications as a Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse: • Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse license in the State of Utah that's in good standing • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) • A Controlled Substance license and a DEA certification with no disciplinary action • Ability to pass both a fingerprinting background check and drug screening Minimum Requirements As a Physician Assistant • Current Physician Assistant license in the State of Utah that's in good standing • Experience in mental health • A Controlled Substance license and a DEA certification with no disciplinary action • Ability to pass both a fingerprinting background check and drug screening Salary Range for Both the Mental Health Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Mental Health Physician Assistant: • $46.56 - $75.38 Schedule • Monday - Friday from 6:30AM to 2:30PM with rotating weekends. If offered this position, your employment will be contingent upon passing a background check and drug testing. There will be no cost to you for these checks. This check will include fingerprinting, which will be available at various DHHS locations for your convenience and drug testing at a facility close to your location. Fingerprinting will be completed prior to your first day of employment. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
