
ASCP Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (RN) Nights in Grange, MN
Job Description
Job Summary: Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered nursing care in a supportive environment that champions best practices and exceptional customer service. This role emphasizes relationship-based care and upholds professional nursing standards guided by the ANA Code of Ethics, Nursing Process, and regulatory requirements. The position supports acute care settings including medical, surgical, emergency, intensive care, childbirth, pediatric, and perioperative units.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively manage time and resources, prioritizing critical tasks while balancing short- and long-term objectives.
• Maintain expertise in nursing functions and technical skills, making informed patient care assignments based on acuity and nurse proficiency.
• Promote workplace improvement through evidence-based practices and ongoing education.
• Deliver excellent patient and visitor relations, embodying core values such as respect, integrity, collaboration, empathy, and courage.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and team members to manage expectations and enhance the overall care experience.
• Ensure a therapeutic environment by minimizing noise and supporting healthcare students and their programs.
• Prioritize patient and workplace safety by adhering to Just Culture principles, HIPAA, and national safety standards.
• Engage in professional growth opportunities including certifications, advanced degrees, and leadership development.
• Foster teamwork by motivating colleagues, encouraging cooperation, and mentoring others.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or, alternatively, five years of acute care nursing experience if the program is not accredited.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or required within five years of hire; enrollment in an accelerated MSN program is acceptable.
• Completion and maintenance of area-specific certifications such as ACLS, BLS, PALS, or specialty certifications.
LICENSURE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
• Active Registered Nurse license as required by the state nursing board.
Work Shift: Night shift, 6:00pm – 6:00am, 36 hours per week.
