Job Description
Cure Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) licensed in New York State to conduct clinical and community health assessments for medically fragile and vulnerable individuals. The role involves both field and virtual work, assessing clients’ ability to perform daily living activities and assisting in determining appropriate levels of home care services. Field visits occur across all five boroughs, with 50% or more travel required. Upon being hired the client will assign you to the closest cases near your as best they can. Each assessment typically takes about two hours and may be conducted virtually via Microsoft Teams or in person based on consumers preference. Assessments will be groups as best as possible geographically when assigned to you.
Contract Details
• Contract end date: TBD there is a long back log
• Training: IN PERSON REQUIRED
• Weekly pay via direct deposit
• MetroCard reimbursement/provision for travel
• 35-hour work week (no overtime allowed)
• Work involves both home and virtual visits
• Pay: $55/hr
Qualifications
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State (no LPNs)
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
• Experience working with psych, elderly, and younger disabled populations
• Background in geriatric care and community health
Skills and Requirements
• Prior experience working in the UAS (Uniform Assessment System)
• Experience in a Managed Care Plan environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to develop collaborative care plans and work jointly with decision-makers
• Comfortable completing both in-person and virtual assessments
Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct in-home and virtual assessments through the UAS to evaluate clients’ abilities to perform activities of daily living
• Assist in determining the appropriate level of home care services needed based on medical and functional assessments
• Complete all assessments and submit required forms within three (3) business days of assignment
• Develop a plan of care that specifies the type and amount of services required
• Collaborate with the Medical Review Team and social service staff as needed
• Manage caseloads efficiently with grouped assignments to minimize travel time
