Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) in Poteau, OK

What are some things the ADON will do? • Ensure that all team members are adhering to the facilities dedication of promoting the best plan of care for all residents in collaboration with the Director of Nursing. • Direct the nursing department and its programs and activities as instructed. • Ensure that all nursing personnel comply with their respective job descriptions. • Determine the staffing needs and ensure that enough staff are available for all shifts to ensure quality care is maintained. • Must be willing to work with staff on the floor when needed. • Must Attend All Meetings set forth by the Director of Nursing and Administrator. • Professional demeanor with Doctors, Clinics and other professionals. • Clear communication with all department managers. We prefer that ADON's have the following: • Previous long-Term care experience • Working knowledge in a supervisor capacity; in any career • Strong leadership abilities in a healthcare setting Requirements: • Have valid Oklahoma RN or LPN License • 1-year experience as a licensed RN/LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred). • Understand and follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines. • CPR Certification (preferred). • Must pass criminal background check.
