Job Description
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a dedicated professional Registered Nurse who reports to the unit director/manager. The ANM plays a vital role in managing clinical and operational activities during their assigned shifts, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care. Responsibilities include supporting the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services, as well as providing a managerial presence across all shifts. The ANM will oversee clinical and non-clinical caregivers, offering invaluable input regarding performance evaluations. Key duties encompass maintaining compliance with professional nursing standards, regulatory requirements, and implementing policies and clinical priorities. Coaching, mentoring, and collaborating with the team to enhance patient care are also integral to this role.

We are currently hiring for the Assistant Nurse Manager position!
This is a full-time position, 1.0 FTE, with 8-hour Day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses in this role prior to November 1, 2024, are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but it is not a condition of employment.
• Upon hire: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse License.
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse.
• Leadership experience.
• Experience with Shared Governance.
