Job Description
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a dedicated Registered Nurse who plays a crucial role in managing the clinical and operational activities during their assigned shifts. Reporting to the unit director/manager, the ANM supports in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the services of the unit. With a managerial presence on all shifts, the ANM oversees both clinical and non-clinical caregivers, contributing valuable insights for performance evaluations.
The responsibilities of the ANM include ensuring compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements, implementing and monitoring adherence to policies and clinical priorities, and fostering teamwork through coaching and mentoring to provide exceptional healthcare to our patients.

We are inviting applications for the Assistant Nurse Manager position at Providence Alaska Medical Center!
Position specifics:
• Full-time role, 1.0 FTE, with 8-hour day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:
• Graduate from a nursing school (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses in this role prior to November 1, 2024, are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree; however, this will not be a condition of employment.
• Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.
• National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Experience as a Charge Nurse or Relief Charge Nurse.
• Proven leadership experience.
• Experience with Shared Governance.

The wage range for this position is outlined clearly: $59.39 - $93.75. This is the base pay range, and other compensation opportunities may be available, including shift differentials, standby/on-call duties, overtime, premiums, and incentives.
