Behavioral Health Clinical Nurse (RN) - Full-Time in Placitas, NM

Position Summary: Join our dedicated team as a Registered Nurse, focusing on Behavioral Health in the Emergency Department. You will play a critical role in coordinating and implementing patient care tailored to the specific needs of our diverse patient population. Minimum Qualifications: • Education: Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing. • Certification/Licenses: Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state. BLS Certification required or to be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. Additional required certifications must be acquired within 6 months of hire. Skills: • Comprehensive knowledge and skills suitable for the age/type of patient population served. • Awareness and sensitivity towards patients' rights in all aspects of care. • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, tailored to the developmental age of the patient. Experience: Your experience will contribute to a positive and effective healthcare environment. Nature of Supervision: Responsible to Patient Care Director or Manager. Working Environment: • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and various patient care areas. • You will work in a clean, well-lit, and ventilated smoke-free environment. • Flexibility in work hours is required due to potential unexpected changes and emergencies. Physical Requirements: You must be prepared to effectively manage emergency situations, including prolonged standing and walking. The role entails significant physical effort to assist patients and move equipment, requiring strong manual dexterity and the ability to distinguish varying colors. Normal or correctable hearing and visual acuity is essential.
