Responsibilities:
• Assess the physical, emotional, and behavioral health needs of pediatric and adolescent patients.
• Develop and implement tailored nursing care plans that align with treatment goals.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor for therapeutic effects.
• Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups, skills training, and psychoeducation sessions.
• Document patient behavior and responses to treatment meticulously.
• Ensure a safe environment through approved behavior management strategies.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other staff to support treatment plans.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and their families.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care reviews.
• Comply fully with regulations, including HIPAA and patient rights standards.
• Address safety issues promptly and contribute to safety planning.
• Complete documentation accurately and on time.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses and treatment options.
• Provide emotional support and advocate for patient needs.

Qualifications:
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
• BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
• Behavioral Health Experience preferred
