
Behavioral Health Registered Nurse - Home Care in Harrison, TN
Job Description
As a Behavioral Health Registered Nurse in Home Care, you'll provide compassionate nursing care directly in patients' homes. Your role will involve evaluating patient needs, designing personalized care plans, implementing treatment strategies, and assessing outcomes to uphold high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial nursing evaluation visits within 24-48 hours of referral or as directed by the physician.
• Assess and reassess patients' physical condition, mental state, and risk of suicidality.
• Develop and update treatment plans aligned with psychiatric nursing standards.
• Guide and instruct families on patient care and creating a safe environment.
• Provide specialized nursing services and carry out physician-ordered treatments.
• Assist families in identifying challenges and connecting with community resources.
• Maintain comprehensive patient records, documenting medications and treatments.
• Notify physicians and relevant personnel of significant changes in patient conditions.
• Offer counseling and crisis intervention for patients and their families.
• Engage in agency in-service programs and nursing reports.
• Adhere to the Care Management Model and execute 60-day recertification reviews.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
• Participate in staff meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted RN license in your state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Recent experience in psychiatric nursing within the past five years or proof of psychiatric continuing education.
Preferred Qualification:
• Oasis Certification.
Compensation is based on various factors such as local labor market conditions, education, experience, and qualifications. Along with competitive pay, we provide an extensive benefits package, recognition programs, equity stock purchase options, and a 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility criteria). The hourly pay range for this position is $28.27 to $50.48 for full-time employment. We adhere to all local minimum wage laws.
