Job Summary and Qualifications
Shifts are Mon-Fri from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehab provides outstanding patient care to both inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients while working alongside Exercise Physiologists, Physicians, and Allied Health Technicians. Elevate your nursing career by joining an environment that fosters growth and support.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments adhering to care standards and protocols.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Deliver direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff according to established guidelines.
• Provide tailored education and emotional support while incorporating patient and family teaching.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent from an accredited nursing school.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia, cardiovascular disease, assessment skills, and clinical exercise physiology is preferred.
• Experience in cardiopulmonary assessment and education, particularly with older adults.
• BLS certification required.
• Active state nursing license or compact license.
• Preferred certifications: ACSM Exercise Specialist, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or ANA Cardiac Rehabilitation certification.
• Minimum of 1 year in ICU or CCU, with cardiac rehab experience preferred.
