The Registered Nurse in Cardiac Rehab provides outstanding patient care to both inpatient and outpatient cardiac patients while working alongside Exercise Physiologists, Physicians, and Allied Health Technicians. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments adhering to care standards and protocols. • Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans to achieve optimal outcomes. • Deliver direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed staff according to established guidelines. • Provide tailored education and emotional support while incorporating patient and family teaching. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent from an accredited nursing school. • Knowledge of dysrhythmia, cardiovascular disease, assessment skills, and clinical exercise physiology is preferred. • Experience in cardiopulmonary assessment and education, particularly with older adults. • BLS certification required. • Active state nursing license or compact license. • Preferred certifications: ACSM Exercise Specialist, Registered Clinical Exercise Physiologist, or ANA Cardiac Rehabilitation certification. • Minimum of 1 year in ICU or CCU, with cardiac rehab experience preferred.
