Travel Nursing Job Details • Location: Lynchburg, VA 24501 - Explore historic neighborhoods, outdoor recreation, and a thriving arts scene in Central Virginia. • Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract (option to extend up to 16 weeks) • Start Date: December 15, 2025 • Shift: 12-hour night shifts • Hours per Week: 36 hours • Employment Type: Travel RN position • Unit: LAC Resource Team - Cardiac Stepdown/IMCU • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1800 Registered Nurse Qualifications • 2+ years of recent RN experience in Intermediate Care, Cardiac Stepdown, or acute care nursing • Previous travel nursing experience required • Active Virginia or Compact RN license (required at start) • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale • Complete work history with explanations for gaps over 90 days • Skills Checklist and Nursys/license copy required • Ability to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays • Charge nurse and Cerner EMR experience preferred Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities • Deliver high-quality nursing care to med-surg, telemetry, cardiac IMCU, neuro, and CVA patients • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes • Mentor and support students and new hires in a teaching hospital setting • Follow unit protocols and foster a culture of teamwork and support • Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR (preferred) • Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays Ready to make an impact in cardiac stepdown care?
