Job Description
As a Cardiology RN, you will provide crucial nursing care to patients under provider direction across various clinical settings. Your role will involve assessing, planning, intervening, and evaluating patient needs through established practices and protocols. You will report to a Practice Manager.
• Deliver office-based nursing care in collaboration with providers
• Assess the physical and psychosocial needs of patients and their families, develop a comprehensive nursing plan, and ensure continuity of care
• Communicate effectively with providers regarding patient evaluations and recommendations
• Initiate actions that promote seamless patient care, including additional training as needed
• Collect and accurately document each patient’s health status and medical history, while assisting in scheduling office visits
• Review patient records, including preoperative files, to ensure thorough preparation and address outstanding issues with providers
• Exhibit independent nursing actions based on thorough assessment and identification of problems
• Under the direction of the provider, manage prescription medications and monitor patient responses to treatments
• Keep precise documentation of ongoing patient assessments, progress toward goals, and response to nursing care
• Triage telephone calls with professionalism, initiating appropriate nursing interventions promptly
• Provide compassionate support to patients and family members while maintaining confidentiality and privacy
Travel required to Bloomfield and Enfield.
• Current Connecticut RN License is required.
• Experience in cardiology is essential.
