Provide specialized cardiac and thoracic nursing care on an acuity adaptable unit serving patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery, transplants, and complex medical device management. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients recovering from cardiac and thoracic surgeries, heart or lung transplants, and other specialized treatments. • Utilize proficiency with advanced technologies, including the NextStage CVVH machine. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. • Maintain patient safety through vigilant monitoring and timely interventions. • Uphold communication standards to meet patient and family needs with empathy and professionalism. Qualifications and Experience: • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or compact license from permanent address state. • Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years. • Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) experience required. • Competency with NextStage CVVH machine required. • Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or acuity adaptable units preferred. • Epic electronic health record experience preferred within the last 12 months. • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory. • Basic arrhythmia monitoring experience with successful completion of a telemetry test prior to start. Schedule: • Nights, 3 shifts per week. • 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. • Every other weekend and some holidays; no on-call duties.
