Job Description
Exceptional opportunity for Registered Nurses with Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience to provide specialized care in a prestigious, award-winning intensive care environment. Position Details:
• Schedule: Rotating 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM 7:30 PM & 7:00 PM 7:30 AM)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 depending on patient acuity
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts every 4 weeks with holiday rotation
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in Pediatric Cardiac ICU; VAD experience highly preferred
• Licensure: Active SC or Multi-State Compact RN license required
• Certifications: PALS and BLS (American Heart Association certification required); ACLS preferred
• Floating within unit scope to meet operational needs is expected
• Local radius: Candidates within 60 miles welcome; locals offered a different rate tier
• Reliable submission of return-to-office documentation required
• Guaranteed hours with minimal potential shift cancellations
Core Responsibilities:
• Deliver expert, compassionate care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients, including those undergoing advanced therapies such as ECMO, CRRT, VAD support, and heart transplantation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including respiratory therapists, dietitians, pharmacists, and other care providers
• Maintain vigilant patient monitoring and timely documentation using EPIC charting systems
• Uphold the highest standards of safety and care consistent with a Level I Trauma Center and Magnet Hospital
