Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Day Shift with $25K Sign-On Bonus in Kilbourne, IL

Sign-On Bonus: Limited Time $25,000 Available! This is a Full Time, Day Shift Position (Three 12-hour shifts, with On-Call) The Full Time Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) will work with fast-paced multidisciplinary teams, engaging in various procedures including vascular diagnostics, coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, high acuity electrophysiology studies, and permanent pacemaker/ICD device implants. The RN will be responsible for: • Delegating, supervising, and providing exceptional nursing care to patients through the nursing process • Ensuring care is age-appropriate and participating in research for evidence-based practice • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives As part of Springfield Memorial Hospital (SMH), a Magnet hospital, you will be immersed in an environment committed to high-quality patient care. Qualifications: • Illinois RN Licensure required • Current BLS/CPR certification per policy • Ability to perform patient care tasks including IV insertion and IM injections • Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and effectively transfer patients • Environment may involve exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and other hazardous materials Key Responsibilities: • Professional Nursing Care: Conduct age-appropriate assessments, analysis, develop individualized plans of care, implement interventions, and regularly evaluate patient progress. • Supervision and Delegation: Delegate tasks to LPNs and assistive personnel based on patient needs, while supervising their performance. • Communication and Collaboration: Use effective communication skills and collaborate with the healthcare team, ensuring comprehensive documentation and implementation of physician's orders. • Quality and Safety: Identify and resolve safety risks, engage in continuous quality improvement, and adhere to safety policies. • Excellence Standards: Incorporate Memorial Health System standards of safety, courtesy, quality, and efficiency in daily work. • Professional Accountability: Advocate for patients, follow ethical practices, and participate in community health initiatives.
