Certified Nursing Assistant; CNA- Hospice in Bountiful, UT
Job Description
Position: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)- Hospice *LICENSE REQUIRED
We are currently seeking reliable and compassionate individuals to assist with evening visits from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional morning shifts may also be available as we offer Hospice aide visits 7 days a week to our patients.
This is an excellent opportunity for students or anyone with daytime commitments, as shifts are primarily scheduled in central locations, making commuting easier and more convenient.
We are seeking an outstanding Hospice Aide to join our team at Ovation Hospice. Come join a team of dedicated, smart, and caring professionals as they work together to make sure our patients come first, always.
Role Overview
The hospice aide is responsible for providing personal care under the direction of a registered nurse. We do require our aids to travel between patients in homes and facilities and we do offer reimbursement for mileage. Our aids are paid hourly to promote time spent with patients. This role will start part time but have hours to grow into as our census in the north grows.
Responsibilities
• Document care provided according to organization policy.
• Report any deviations from the Plan of Care to the Case Manager.
• Use Durable Medical Equipment safely.
• Take vital signs when on Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Foster cooperative effort among personnel by understanding the functions of other persons involved in patient care and by active participation in team and staff conferences.
• Provide proper care and observation of patient's skin to prevent breakdown of tissue over bony prominence. Report any changes/areas of concern to Case Manager.
• Assist with ambulation, transfer, range of motion if documented on the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Provide respite for patient(s) family/caregiver when on site, as appropriate.
• Participate in QAPI activities.
Qualifications
• A valid Certified Nursing Assistant (
CNA
) license in the state of Utah is required for this position.
• One year experience as a CNA.
• At least 18 years old.
• Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
• The ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work as a team and also independently.
