Location: Avera Gettysburg Hospital Worker Type: Regular Work Shift: Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends (United States of America) Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $24.50, with the actual pay rate dependent upon experience. Position Highlights Join us and you may be eligible for up to a $2,500 sign-on bonus and a $1,500 relocation bonus. This position involves varied shifts, including every third weekend and holidays, with occasional call. The schedule is 72 hours per two weeks. A Brief Overview In this role, you will provide essential clerical and nursing assistant support services under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, aiding in delivering high-quality patient care. What you will do • Assist patients with activities of daily living, providing compassionate care tailored to individual needs. • Perform both routine and assigned non-routine duties as needed, including bathing, dressing, and assisting with mobility. • Measure and document vital signs: blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration, and weight. • Support patients in specific medical care tasks aligned with established protocols, including restorative exercises and specimen collection. • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the unit by restocking supplies and adhering to cleaning procedures. • Offer emotional, educational, and spiritual support to patients and their families, ensuring a holistic approach to care. • Complete clerical duties related to admissions, discharges, and transfers while keeping patient records up to date. • Comply with safety protocols including infection control, disaster plans, and hazardous material handling to maintain a safe environment. Essential Qualifications You must be able to work the specified hours and successfully perform each essential function of the job, which includes having sufficient visual acuity and effective communication skills. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • CNA Certification - Must have an active license in the state of practice within 180 days. Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience: • High School diploma or GED equivalent. • Less than 1 year of related experience or training. Minimum Age Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age.
