Job Schedule: Full time
Weekly Hours: 36.00
Salary Range: $21.00 - $25.50
Sign-On Bonus: $5,000
Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides vital caregiving support to residents in long-term care, ensuring quality care and assistance in daily living activities. Under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN), you will:
• Deliver personalized nursing care following residents' care plans.
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Monitor and record vital signs, providing necessary support and reporting changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist residents in meals and create a positive dining experience.
• Facilitate safe transfers and mobility using proper techniques.
• Maintain cleanliness of living areas and assist with laundry services.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational programs.
The NA is an integral part of the nursing team and will be expected to follow infection prevention and control policies diligently. Your contributions will directly enhance the quality of life for our residents.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age of 16. Previous clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Must have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be enrolled in a training program to obtain certification within four months of starting.
• Annual completion of department-specific competency testing and a minimum of 12 hours of continuing education is required.
• If applicable, certification with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry is needed.
• Must have a valid driver’s license if classified as a Sanford Category II Driver.
