Pay Info: $5,000 sign-on bonus available
Job Overview
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in providing compassionate care to residents in our long-term care facility. You will deliver resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under the guidance of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will involve understanding and meeting the physical and psychological needs of residents according to their individualized care plans.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Monitor and record vital signs, and provide personal care that supports both physical and emotional well-being.
• Help residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning using proper techniques.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience by assisting with meal preparation and serving.
• Support nursing staff in various procedures and maintain thorough documentation of resident care and outcomes.
• Perform housekeeping and laundry duties to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for residents.
• Encourage resident participation in wellness and recreational programs.
• Participate in departmental committees and contribute to our community.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old; prior experience in long-term care is a plus.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required; certification training is offered by the facility.
• Annual completion of department-specific competency testing and continuing education (minimum of 12 hours required annually).
• Compliance with state registry requirements for Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) where applicable.
• May require a valid driver's license and medical qualifications for driving responsibilities.
