Facility: GSS SD Howard Ctr Location: Howard, SD Address: 300 W Hazel Ave, Howard, SD 57349, USA Shift: Day Job Schedule: Full time Weekly Hours: 40.00 Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.50 Job Summary The Nursing Assistant (NA) plays a crucial role in delivering personalized care and support to residents in long-term care settings. As an integral member of our healthcare team, you will provide essential nursing care and assistance with daily living activities under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Your responsibilities will include: • Delivering compassionate, resident-centered care. • Assisting residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. • Obtaining and recording vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation of resident interactions. • Providing support during meals and assisting with hydration and nutritional needs. • Aiding residents with mobility, including transfers and rehabilitative exercises. • Maintaining a clean and safe living environment for residents. • Monitoring changes in residents' conditions and communicating effectively with nursing staff. • Encouraging engagement in wellness and recreational programs. Qualifications • High school diploma or GED preferred. • Minimum age of 16; prior experience in long-term care is a plus. • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification is required by the State Board of Nursing, or must achieve certification through a training program within four months of hire. • Completion of annual continuing education (minimum 12 hours) and competency testing is necessary. • CNA training and certification provided by the facility. • May require registration with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry, depending on state regulations.
