Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote comfort and independence.
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
• Support medical staff by preparing patients for examinations and procedures while maintaining strict adherence to aseptic techniques.
• Document patient information thoroughly within electronic health record (EHR) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia.
• Assist with specialized care procedures including catheter care, wound dressing changes, and basic life support when necessary.
• Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safety protocols are followed during patient transfers.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in acute care, emergency medicine, ICU settings, or behavioral health environments to deliver comprehensive patient service.
Qualifications
• Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS) are preferred.
• Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care settings.
• Knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to patient care procedures across pediatric to geriatric populations.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges in settings like behavioral health or sub-acute care.
• Strong understanding of infection control practices including aseptic technique and infectious disease care protocols.
• Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving; ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
