Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Assistant - Cardiovascular ICU Nebraska Medicine is seeking a CNA to join the Cardiovascular ICU in Omaha, NE. The CVICUis a 20 bed unit and is considered a specialty ICU unit that is fast paced and will provide expertise in the care delivery of our cardiovascular patients. The staff of this ICU will care for very high acuity specialty patients such as stable heart and lung transplants, Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs), Impellas, and ECMO patients. Certified Nursing Assistant: Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age required. High school education or equivalent required. Possesses a Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the state of Nebraska. Demonstrated effective communication skills required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Nursing Assistant: Perform delegated patient activities as assigned by licensed nursing personnel for the achievement of patient`s plan of care. Required Qualifications: Minimum of 18 years of age required. High school education or equivalent required. Six months experience in patient care required or must be enrolled in nursing program. Demonstrated effective communication skills required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later). Preferred Qualifications: Direct patient care experience preferred. Knowledge of computer data entry and word processing preferred. Basic knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
