Job Description

**Overview:** We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our multidisciplinary team at Sacred Heart Hospital. As a CRNA, you will care for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management. **Responsibilities:** • Performs a pre-operative patient assessment • Determines a plan of care and communicates the plan of care to patient and family • Establishes and maintains essential venous access • Ensures establishment and maintenance of airway • Responsible for inducting, maintaining the anesthesia, and proper monitoring • Responsible for completing the anesthesia and the emergence from anesthesia • Transfers care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure • Performs post-operative follow-up for each case performed • Perform as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students • *Qualifications:** • Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Board of Nursing • Active license in the state of practice Upon Hire • Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing • Active license in the state of practice Upon Hire • Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) Upon Hire • *Benefits:** • Competitive pay rate: $185.00 - $185.00 • Opportunities to work with a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and a commitment to Moving Health Forward • Avera's mission, vision, core values, and social principles are applied daily to serve patients, their families, and our community • Promote Avera's values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship • Uphold Avera's standards of Communication, Attitude, Responsiveness, and Engagement (CARE) • Maintain confidentiality • Work effectively in a team environment, coordinating work flow with other team members and ensuring a productive and efficient environment • Comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with, but not limited to, CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA if applicable • Avera is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, Veteran Status, or other categories protected by law
