Description
A Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist is required to join our team for various anesthesiology services.
Requirements
• Current license as a registered professional nurse.
• Compliance with state statutory requirements for advanced practice nursing.
• Graduation from a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs (COA) or its predecessor.
• Certification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists or recertification by the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists.
Case Mix
• General and colorectal
• OB/GYN
• Urology
• ENT
• Orthopedics
• Spine fusions
• Ophthalmology
• Pacemakers
• Cardioversions
• TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
• Gastrointestinal
No cases involving heads/neurosurgery, traumas, or open-heart surgeries. Pediatric cases are typically ENT patients over one year old, focusing on Tonsillectomy & Adenoidectomy (T&A) and Myringotomy & Tubes (M&T).
Work Environment
• Supervision ratio of 1 to 2.5
• Overtime expected
• No on-call duties
• Five anesthesia sites
• Team consists of four MDs and three CRNAs
• Paper and pen charting system
License Information
• If CT license is in hand, processing time is 30-60 days.
• Without CT license, processing time is 60-120 days.
