Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) - Anesthesia - Women & Children's Hospital in Charleston, WV

**Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia team at Women & Children's Hospital. As a CRNA, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to our patients, while working collaboratively with our medical team to ensure the best possible outcomes. **Responsibilities:** • Administers anesthesia and anesthesia-related care under the direction of a physician, monitoring and supporting life functions • Demonstrates ability to administer or assist with all types of anesthesia • Sets up the operating room with anesthesia-related drugs and equipment prior to each procedure • Inspects anesthesia machines and equipment prior to each case to ensure proper working order • Reviews patient preoperative examination, lab values, and consultative information to choose the best anesthetic for the patient • Maintains accurate anesthesia records • Assists with airway maintenance expertise anywhere in the hospital • Works with students and provides training as needed • Integrates continuous quality improvement into department and institution operations • Supports employee participation in quality improvement processes • Develops and implements anesthesia plans of care • Performs patient assessments prior to anesthesia and documents on anesthesia records • Supervises Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists (SRNAs) in all phases of anesthesia care • Promotes a clinical educational environment conducive to learning for SRNAs • *Qualifications:** • Associate's Degree (Required) • Bachelor's Degree • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Required) within 1 year of hire • Basic Life Support (Required) within 30 days of hire • Cert Reg Nurse Anes (Required) • Registered Nurse (Required) • Pediatric Adv Life Support (Required) within 1 year of hire • *Benefits:** • Competitive salary and benefits package • Opportunities for professional growth and development • Collaborative and supportive work environment • Variety of shifts and scheduling options • Comprehensive training and orientation program • Access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology
