
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - PRN in Bossier City, LA
Job Description
The Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality anesthesia care to patients. This position involves preparing and administering anesthesia agents to surgical and obstetric patients while collaborating with a supervising physician. The CRNA operates under the guidance of the Medical Director to ensure the highest standards of safety and efficacy in anesthesia services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments, including patient history and physical examinations.
• Review patient medical records and diagnostic test results to ascertain health status.
• Provide postoperative round and patient care follow-up.
• Educate patients and their families regarding anesthesia processes and post-operative care.
• Administer various types of anesthesia, including general, regional, and local, and perform other related procedures such as venous/arterial blood draws and central line placements.
• Collaborate with the patient care team to develop and implement a tailored care plan.
• Use technical skills to manage mechanical ventilation and resuscitation techniques.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.
• Participate in safety initiatives, including time-out procedures, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Qualifications:
• Master of Science in Nursing is required.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Active APRN License in the state of employment.
• Current CRNA certification from NBCRNA.
• Certification in ACLS, PALS, and BLS.
Work Schedule:
Hours: 6:30 AM - 3 PM
