The Chair is responsible for managing all aspects, including the daily operations, of the FNP Program, which includes supervision of full and/or part-time faculty, development of the curriculum, programming, course offerings, program evaluation, and accreditation. The Chair of the FNP program will mentor and guide full and part-time faculty and serve as an interface between faculty and administration. The Chair of the FNP program will evaluate part-time faculty annually. Student enrollment, academic progress, and retention are the responsibility of the FNP Programs Chair. (40%)Orienting new advisees within two weeks before the start of their programMeeting at least monthly with advisees to enroll in new courses & check on course progressSharing resources with advisees for academic success at the beginning of each course startCollaborating monthly with the Dean to identify and coach students at risk for not continuing or failing out of a course or programResponding to advisee emails or phone calls within 24 hoursIn collaboration with the DNP Chair, supervises DNP/FNP students in successfully navigating the certification process with a benchmark of 80-100% success.Earns high ratings (above average/exemplary) from students on accurate advising to support timely progress through courseworkContributes to the overall success of the School of Nursing (30%)Contributes to the College through service to the School of Nursing and beyond through work on committees.In collaboration with the Associate Deans, School of Nursing & Health Sciences, responsible for all ongoing assessment and continuous improvement measures at the course, program, and school levels for the FNP program.Participates in recruitment events, enrollment, and retention of FNP graduate nursing students.Sustains an 80% retention and graduation rate for the FNP programParticipates in school-wide assessment and accreditation efforts.Teaches courses in graduate nursing programs (10%)Teaches 2 courses a year at the MSN/FNP or DNP level. Advises graduate students in the Graduate Nursing FNP Program:Teaches MSN/FNP and/or DNP courses.Earns above average/exemplary on student course evaluations.Develops course content and materials for graduate programs, in accordance with departmental needs and in keeping with School standards.Employs a variety of assessment tools and strategies for 100% of courses taught.Supervises FNP students in successfully navigating the certification process with a benchmark of 80-100% success.Supervises, trains, and evaluates part-time faculty and advisors (10%)Supports the Dean in monitoring student progress, orienting new adjuncts, reviewing curriculum, and managing enrollments.Collaborates with the Dean to hire, supervise, train, and evaluate assigned part-time faculty in graduate nursing:Implementing 100% of Canvas courses taught aligned with School standardsReviewing student course evaluations and making documented, measurable pedagogical adjustments at the beginning and end of each courseCollaborates with the Dean to hire, supervise, train, and evaluate 100% of part-time graduate advisors in:Degree Audit/Work DayBest practices in academic advisingIncreases Endicott’s reputation in the field of graduate nursing education (10%)Demonstrates evidence of an increasing track record of scholarship in the field.Represents the College and programs throughpresentation of academic scholarship at national and state conferences, seminars, or through publications, and/or through publicationsOther DutiesOther duties as assignedReporting StructureThe Chair of the FNP Program in the Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences reports to the Dean.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesCollaborates with the Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing and the Dean to hire, supervise, train, and evaluate 100% of part-time graduate advisors.Core CompetenciesReliability: able to get the job done, available and engaged with the job and the Endicott community.Organization: organizes time and resources well so that work is done efficiently and on time.Communication Skills: has clear, effective and efficient ways of communicating, both orally and in writing.Adaptability: shows a willingness to adopt new ideas and to do things differently.Follow Through: takes ownership of projects and sees them through fruition.Customer Service: anticipates the needs and responds to queries in a timely, competent, and approachable manner.Initiative/Personal Leadership: identifies opportunities for improvement and actively contributes to solutions.Team Player: shows a willingness to collaborate and share information, knowledge and experience with team members.Qualifications and SkillsFNP, MSN required, terminal degree in nursing preferred;Current licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Massachusetts required;Commitment to inclusive education and developing cultural competencies among graduate students with a lens toward social justice education;Documented record of academic scholarship in a related field;Demonstrated ability to mentor students, particularly at the master’s level;Evidence of outstanding teaching competencies, including online, lab, or simulation;Evidence of a commitment to service;Active participation in professional organizations;Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills with a high interest in working with non-traditional and adult students;Self-directed with excellent organizational skills;Being detail-oriented and student-centered is essential to the position.Strong computer experience, which must include abilities to work effectively with MS Office suite products, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms) and Canvas Learning Management System.In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $127,000.00. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.Effective Date of Current Version: January 2026
