With abundant opportunities for continuing education and career advancement, you can develop a long and successful career with us.RequirementsThe Charge Nurse, Level 1 supports the daily operations of the veterinary surgery department by coordinating patient flow, assisting with surgical care, and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment. This role also helps manage staff scheduling needs and provides training and guidance to support team development and consistency in patient care. Patient Care & Surgical SupportAssist with patient intake, surgical prep, anesthesia induction support, and recovery monitoringMonitor hospitalized and post-operative patients, reporting changes to the medical teamEnsure accurate documentation of treatments, vitals, and patient statusWorkflow CoordinationSupport daily work flow by coordinating patient movement between prep, surgery, and recoveryCommunicate with veterinarians, technicians, and client service teams to maintain schedule efficiencyHelp troubleshoot delays or workflow issues and escalate concerns to leadership when neededClinical OperationsMaintain cleanliness and readiness of surgical prep, treatment, and recovery areasEnsure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and functioning properlyFollow all safety, anesthesia, and infection-control protocolsTeam SupportProvide guidance and support to assistants and other nursing staff as directedHelp train new team members on patient handling, workflow, and clinic protocolsPromote a positive, collaborative, and professional work environment Ready to Make a Difference?
