Responsibilities Come Join Our Team! Per Diem CHARGE NURSE: Adult locked Psychiatric Unit. Monday thru Friday 3-11:30pm Corona Rehabilitation Medical Center - Willows Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director of Behavioral Health Services the Charge RN is an RN with clinical expertise who directs the patient care activities during their assigned shift. This position provides care to adult and geriatric patients. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis planning, intervention, evaluation and documentation of patients and their treatment plan as well as counseling and education for patient's families. Follows the nursing standards of care, policies and procedures to assure optimal outcomes. Accountable for the supervision of all categories of nursing personnel (LVN/LPT, MHW/CNA, etc.) The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing comm unity. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties. Qualifications MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCEMinimum of two years psychiatry/mental health experience required. One year working with geriatric population required.Minimum of two years of acute hospital experience and leadership preferred. MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATIONBachelor's degree preferred.Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire. REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONSCurrent California Registered Nurse license required. Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
