Job Details / Responsibilities
Deliver executive-level nursing leadership with 24-hour accountability across all nursing services in a 79-bed inpatient rehabilitation facility
Manage staffing models, FTE allocation, budget development and control, policy/procedure creation, and performance/disciplinary processes
Directly supervise 2 Nurse Managers (staggered shifts 6am and 2pm start times, 5–8 hour shifts) and provide oversight to Infection Control, Respiratory Therapy, Clinical Educator, Wound Care Center, and Dialysis services
Ensure ongoing compliance with Nevada state regulations, CMS standards, The Joint Commission accreditation, and rehabilitation-specific quality benchmarks
Collaborate with the CEO, physicians, and interdisciplinary leadership to enhance clinical outcomes, patient/family satisfaction, and operational efficiency
Maintain effective nurse-to-patient ratios (1 8) while optimizing resource utilization and staff engagement
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, staff development programs, and a culture of safety and excellence
Qualifications
Current unrestricted RN licensure in the state of Nevada (or ability to obtain prior to employment)
BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
Commitment to obtain CRRN certification within one year of becoming eligible to sit for the exam
Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or closely related field required — or currently enrolled in such a program — or equivalent advanced knowledge and demonstrated skills
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field required (unless state/facility mandates higher degree)
At least 5 years of inpatient hospital nursing experience
Minimum 2 years of recent (within the last 5 years) nursing management experience including 24-hour accountability, FTE and budget management, policy/procedure oversight, and conducting disciplinary actions
