As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will practice within the legal and ethical framework set forth by the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act and adhere to the American Nurses Association's Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice. You will demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and effective communication as you ensure quality outcomes for our patients and their families.
Responsibilities
• Standards of Practice: You will engage in the nursing process, encompassing assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation while delivering and coordinating patient care.
• Health Promotion: Promote health and ensure a safe environment through education and collaboration with patients and families.
• Professional Standards: Uphold proficient behavior in ethics, culturally relevant practice, communication, leadership, and use of evidence-based research in your nursing practice.
Qualifications
Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school is required; BSN is preferred. All new hires must obtain current BCLS certification within one month of employment.
Experience: Must have a foundational understanding as a Registered Nurse. Opportunities for advancement are available through the SPIRE clinical advancement program.
Licensure: Must hold a current license as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is highly encouraged.
Special Skills: Proven competencies as a foundational Registered Nurse. Advancement programs are available.
Physical Demands: The role requires prolonged periods of standing and walking. The ability to assist with lifting patients up to 300 pounds is required. You should be prepared to face emotional and physical challenges, including exposure to infectious diseases.
