Worker Type: Regular

Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend, and holiday on-call involvement (United States of America)

Pay Range: $32.00 - $48.00 (Actual pay rate dependent upon experience)

As a Clinical Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and knowledge of our Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and delivering engaging training programs for CNAs.
• Providing hands-on instruction and mentorship to ensure competency in patient care skills.
• Creating and updating educational materials, including lesson plans and competency checklists.
• Assessing CNA performance and providing constructive feedback for improvement.
• Coordinating orientation for new CNAs and facilitating ongoing education for current staff.
• Ensuring compliance with state and facility regulations for CNA training and certification.
• Collaborating with nursing leadership to identify training needs and implement effective solutions.
• Maintaining accurate records of training sessions, evaluations, and certifications.

Qualifications:
• Current RN license in good standing
• Strong clinical background with experience in long-term care or acute care settings
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Ability to adapt training methods to various learning styles
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for CNA programs

A Brief Overview

In this crucial role, you will provide instruction for Nursing Assistant clinical skills while assisting in maintaining course documentation and communication related to the Nursing Assistant program, contributing to the advancement of frontline nursing practice.

What You Will Do:
• Coordinate education for new employees, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
• Complete onboarding for new hires within established timelines.
• Ensure staff complete education and certification within set deadlines, including all necessary training and annual requirements.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with facility policies, maintaining a high level of clinical competency and serving as a role model.
• Collaborate with leadership and staff to ensure care delivery meets policy and procedure expectations.
• Support staff transitions from classroom learning to clinical practice.
• Work with others on content and operational design for orientation, clinical competency, and educational program development.

Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, you must be able to perform essential job functions, including having adequate visual acuity, effective communication, and the ability to hear and understand speech and sounds. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice upon hire.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in long-term care services.
