Clinical Nurse I: Critical Care Float Pool in Irvine, CA

Note: This is a continuous recruitment requisition. We are always looking for talented Critical Care RNs to join our Nursing Staffing Office Float Pool. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis for openings across multiple shifts and statuses as needed. Primary Duties and Responsibilities • The Clinical Nurse I – Critical Care provides direct patient care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act for assigned patients in a critical care unit including Neuro ICU, CCU, and Sub ICU. • The nurse collaborates with other disciplines of the health care team to ensure the delivery of safe, timely and appropriate quality patient care. • This includes providing physical assessments, nursing interventions, pain management, medication administrations, specimen collection, meeting nutritional needs, and teaching and discharge needs of the patients assigned. • Utilizes the nursing process based on evidence-based best practices to meet patient care needs. • Evaluates and adjusts the nursing care process as necessary with consultation as needed, and confers with the appropriate resource personnel when making ethical/legal/medical dilemma decisions. • Performs other duties as assigned. Schedule & Work Expectations • Full Time and Part Time positions available. • 12-hour shifts: • Days: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM • Nights: 7:00 PM-7:30 AM • Weekend and holiday rotation required. • Differentials for Float Pool and Night Shift. • Float level based on Critical Care experience: • Float II: 1-2 years Critical Care RN experience • Float III 3-4 years Critical Care RN experience • RNs will float to units at Hoag Newport and Hoag Irvine, including but not limited to: • Medical/Surgical • Telemetry • Sub-ICU • ICU • CCU • ED Holding
