Position Overview:
As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in planning, delivering, documenting, and evaluating nursing care tailored to the unique needs of patients in your assigned area. You will work in accordance with provider's orders and established nursing standards. Your responsibilities will include:
• Directing the activities of nursing personnel.
• Observing, assessing, and reporting on patient conditions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Upholding the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Graduation from an accredited professional nursing program.
• Current registered nurse licensure in Ohio.
• AHA Basic Life Support certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire).
• Thorough knowledge of nursing theory and practice, including biological, physical, psychosocial, and medical sciences.
• Strong working knowledge of care instruments, equipment, and supplies related to nursing.
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with colleagues and medical staff.
• High degree of physical coordination and dexterity.
Preferred:
• BSN and relevant certifications based on clinical area of interest.
• Relevant experience in specialty areas such as OR, PACU, pediatrics, psychiatry, radiology, and cardiac-pulmonary nursing.
Physical Requirements:
The role may involve sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and walking intermittently throughout the day. Candidates should be capable of lifting 250-300 pounds with assistance and pushing/pulling up to 500 pounds with assistance. Some exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, chemicals, and cleaning products is expected.
