
Clinical Nurse (RN) Women's Services - Full-time Position in Alcalde, NM
Job Description
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduated from an accredited Registered Nursing program.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: Must hold a current RN license in New Mexico or a valid Compact state license. BLS Certification is required or must be obtained within 2 weeks of hire. Additional required certifications must be acquired within 6 months of hire. If certifications are held at the time of hire, they must be maintained without a grace period for renewal.
SKILLS:
• Proficient knowledge and skills related to women’s health and the specific age/type of patients served.
• Awareness and sensitivity to patients' rights throughout the care process.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, taking into account the developmental age of the patient.
EXPERIENCE & SUPERVISION:
Report directly to the Patient Care Director or Manager, working collaboratively to provide outstanding patient care.
ENVIRONMENT:
• Exposure to bloodborne pathogens in specific patient care areas.
• Involvement with infectious diseases and x-rays, operating in a clean, well-ventilated, smoke-free environment.
This role may be subject to stressful situations and varying work hours, with flexibility needed for emergency changes in scheduling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable of managing emergency situations and required to carry out extensive standing, walking, and physical tasks associated with transferring patients or equipment. Duties include bending, kneeling, crouching, and good manual dexterity is essential. Visual and auditory acuity should be within normal or correctable ranges.
