Description Location: UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hosp, US:CO:Highlands Ranch Department: Surgical Specialties Unit Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option. You will utilize your nursing skills to optimize patient outcomes following our organizational policies and mission. Responsibilities: • Deliver proficient patient care in a 24/7 Acute Care setting. • Develop, implement, and assess individualized patient care plans to ensure optimal results and efficient use of resources. • Monitor and communicate patient conditions to a multidisciplinary care team, facilitating collaboration for coordinated patient care, including transfers, discharges, and psychosocial support. • Assess the educational needs of patients and families, providing tailored education suited to their age, cultural background, and specific medical needs. Lead and mentor nursing students and new employees as needed. • Demonstrate critical thinking and decisive judgment with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: • Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred). • Valid State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • Minimum of 6 months nursing (RN) experience. • BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with a valid card at the start date.
