Job Description
Wilmington Hospital in Wilmington, DE, a part of Christiana Care Health System is seeking an RN to work as a Clinical Safety Nurse. In this position, you will work in various units and learn valuable skills.
A Clinical Safety Nurse is an innovative clinical resource expert who provides specialized care planning and coordination for patients demonstrating aggressive behaviors and are at risk for violence. This position presents an exciting opportunity to play a lead role in enhancing patient and caregiver safety. By implementing proactive measures to mitigate risk, this role is instrumental in transforming care delivery. Moreover, the position serves as a vital resource for the multidisciplinary team, patients, and families in mitigating risk, significantly impacting overall healthcare outcomes, and ensuring the safety of caregivers!General Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a Delaware State RN license or multistate compact RN license
• Current BLS required.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, preferably in acute care, psychiatric, or related settings.
• Experience working with at-risk populations is highly desirable.
• Board Certification in related field required
Primarily shift for this position is Day shift with Weekend and Holidays per the guidelines of the department. Hours: This position is 72 hours per week.
Principal duties and responsibilities
• conducting thorough and ongoing assessments, leading interdisciplinary coordination of behavioral care plans across diverse acute care environments.
• Identifying factors contributing to aggressive or violent behavior.
• The role is instrumental in developing and coordinating individualized care plans, establishing evidence-based practices for managing risks, and monitoring and adjusting care plans based on patient progress.
• It also requires educating patients and families, implementing de-escalation techniques, and partnering in the development of system-wide workplace violence guidelines and best practices.
• This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of patient and caregiver safety, ensuring compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards.

Annual Compensation Range $92,726.40 - $148,387.20This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
