
Clinical Surgical Reviewer in Livonia, LA
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Surgical Reviewer to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing all facets of the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP) database and ensuring the accurate and timely entry of data into the program's database. **Responsibilities:**
• Identify surgical patients for inclusion in the Program through the application of Program inclusion/exclusion criteria and protocols
• Collect preoperative, operative, and postoperative data components for the Program through the effective utilization of the hospital medical record systems
• Responsible for the accurate and timely entry of data into the program's database and meets the caseload accrual requirement protocol
• Serve as an educational resource on the STS for internal and external audiences by developing educational material and delivering presentations
• Establish effective working relationships with members of the hospital community, especially staff in the Specialty Clinics, Medicine, Nursing, Medical Records, and Information Systems Departments
• Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, including respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, and communication style
• Perform other related duties as required
• *Qualifications:**
• Associate's degree in Nursing (Required) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (Preferred)
• 5 years Perioperative experience including one year experience in hospital surgery department, surgery clinic, clinical research or medical records
• Current RN License in the state of practice
