Clinical Research Nurse – Cardiology We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Research Nurse – Cardiology to coordinate and implement cardiology clinical research protocols under the direction of the Director of Clinical Trials and Research Compliance. This role plays a vital part in delivering protocol-driven cardiovascular care while advocating for patient safety, consistency, and research integrity. Key Responsibilities • Coordinate and implement cardiology clinical research protocols in compliance with study guidelines • Provide direct nursing care to patients enrolled in cardiovascular clinical trials • Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring safety, accuracy, and consistency of treatment regimens per protocol • Coordinate all nursing activities related to the administration and monitoring of study treatments • Collaborate with cardiologists, research staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams • Maintain accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory, institutional, and research compliance standards Education & Licensure • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required • Current and valid New Jersey RN license (or legal authorization from the NJ Board of Nursing) • IV certification required Experience • Proficiency in computer applications and keyboarding • Knowledge of medical terminology Skills & Abilities • Strong oral and written communication skills with clear speech and comprehension • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently • Ability to function competently in fast-paced and high-stress environments involving acute, chronic, complex, or cardiac disease processes • Effective time management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively with cardiology providers and multidisciplinary healthcare teams Physical & Cognitive Requirements • Full range of body motion including lifting, bending, kneeling, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling in accordance with NIOSH guidelines • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and sustained verbal communication in English • Ability to perform frequent walking, standing, sitting, reaching, typing, filing, and other clerical tasks
