
CNA Earn to Learn Program in Auburn, ME
Job Description
We are now accepting applications for our CNA Earn to Learn Program beginning on February 9th!
The CNA trainee participates in classroom, lab, and clinical instruction to meet the criteria to sit for the State Certification Exam. The training will enable care of patients throughout the lifespan, under the direction of a registered nurse. Introduction to the concepts of legal and ethical aspects of care, communication, documentation, and safety.
Essential Content of the Training Program
• The course and clinicals will be led and coordinated by an approved RN.• Maintain a proper physical and emotional patient environment. • Report and record observations. • Provides aid in personal hygiene. • Assist with body movement and ambulation. • Assist with nutrition and elimination. • Assist in emergency situations. • The trainee is allowed to perform duties while enrolled in the course as taught and coordinated by the RN Instructor. If the trainee is enrolled as part of an earn to learn program, where they hold another job title, they cannot perform any CNA skills during hours being worked in their second job role.
Education and Experience
• High School graduate or equivalent• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing• Additional languages preferred.• Basic computer knowledge.• Ability to engage patients and team members utilizing the CMH Experience Standards
