Job Description
Position Summary:
The Home Health Aide provides direct patient care within their scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OBSN) under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). The Aide assists patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), ensures comfort and safety, and supports nursing staff in delivering high-quality, compassionate care. Responsibilities include monitoring and reporting patient observations, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and responding promptly to patient needs. The Aide works collaboratively with the healthcare team to promote patient well-being, uphold infection control standards, and maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Current Oregon Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license without restriction preferred.
• Current Oregon Drivers’ License (free of encumbrances to drive GRH vehicles) and proof of auto insurance required.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in community health or long-term care preferred.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
