Job Title : Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Night Shift Job Type Contract Position Urgency : Normal Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care and skilled rehabilitation setting during the night shift. This role supports the nursing team in delivering resident-centered care while maintaining safety, dignity, and comfort throughout overnight hours. Key Responsibilities Assist residents / patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and skin care Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake / output accurately and in a timely manner Observe, monitor, and promptly report changes in resident / patient condition to the RN / LPN or Charge Nurse Maintain resident / patient privacy, confidentiality, and dignity at all times Follow infection control standards and Universal Precautions Provide additional care and support as directed by RN / LPN staff Assist with orientation of residents, patients, and families to the unit and services Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach in all interactions Required Experience Minimum 3 years of CNA experience , preferably in long-term care or skilled rehabilitation Licensure & Certification Active Maine CNA License (required) Schedule Night Shift 6 : 30 PM 7 : 00 AM 3 x 12-hour shifts per week Additional Requirements Holiday coverage required Traveler candidates must reside 50+ miles from the work location Assignment may include up to three shift cancellations per 13-week contract per facility policy Skills & Qualities Strong communication and listening skills Ability to empathize with residents, patients, and families Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations Commitment to teamwork, compassion, and quality care Passion for serving long-term care residents and skilled rehabilitation patients Specialty Information Specialty : Nursing Sub-Specialty : CNA Long-Term Care (LTC)
