Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide high-quality care to residents in a long-term care and skilled rehabilitation setting during the night shift. This role supports the nursing team in delivering resident-centered care while maintaining safety, dignity, and comfort throughout overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities
Assist residents / patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including feeding, bathing, dressing, toileting, ambulation, and skin care
Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and intake / output accurately and in a timely manner
Observe, monitor, and promptly report changes in resident / patient condition to the RN / LPN or Charge Nurse
Maintain resident / patient privacy, confidentiality, and dignity at all times
Follow infection control standards and Universal Precautions
Provide additional care and support as directed by RN / LPN staff
Assist with orientation of residents, patients, and families to the unit and services
Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach in all interactions
Required Experience
Minimum 3 years of CNA experience , preferably in long-term care or skilled rehabilitation
Licensure & Certification
Active Maine CNA License (required)
Schedule
Night Shift
6 : 30 PM 7 : 00 AM
3 x 12-hour shifts per week
Additional Requirements
Holiday coverage required
Traveler candidates must reside 50+ miles from the work location
Assignment may include up to three shift cancellations per 13-week contract per facility policy
