Position Title: Community Health/School Nurse - The Children's Way Preschool
Department: Board of Health
Full Time/hours: 30 hours / week (part-time, eligible for benefits)
Union/Grade: G-15 / AFSCME
Salary Range: $37.39 to $47.61 per hour, depending upon qualifications
Description of Position:The Town of Wayland seeks qualified candidates for the Community Health/School Nurse for The Children’s Way (TCW) preschool. This important role provides community health care to students and staff of The Children’s Way. The Community Health/School Nurse at TCW is responsible for providing a wide range of health services to students including routine and emergency care and medication administration. This position may also be assigned to the Wayland Public Schools. Ideal candidates will have experience working with preschool and elementary aged children, school nursing, pediatric or comparable nursing experience.

Recommended Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
Experience: Over two (2) years of experience in school, pediatric, community health or comparable nursing experience.
Licenses/Certificates: Registered professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Current certification or obtaining certification within the probationary period in BLS CPR and first aid. Current certifications in Adult and Pediatric BLS CPR/First Aid/AED or certifications obtained prior to start. Must possess a valid driver’s license. MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Nurse Licensure preferred, but not required
