
Compliance Nurse Specialist in Leawood, KS

We’re looking for a Compliance Nurse Specialist who brings clinical insight and a passion for doing things the right way. In this role, you’ll help guide our organization’s infection control efforts, quality initiatives, risk management activities, and regulatory compliance. Your work will directly support a safer environment for our patients and staff.
What You’ll Do
• Infection Control - Lead the development, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of the hospital‑wide Infection Control Program.
• Performance Improvement - Serve as Chair of the QAPI Committee, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement. Coordinate hospital‑wide performance improvement activities. Identify opportunities for improvement, support peer review, and track outcomes.
• Risk Management – Chair the Risk Management Committee. Identify high‑risk areas by reviewing medical records, incident reports, and other data sources. Support clinical teams in implementing risk‑reducing strategies and process improvements.
• Regulatory Compliance - Serve as the primary liaison for the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC). Oversee compliance with State, Federal, and accrediting‑body requirements (KDHE, CMS, ACHC, and others). Provide clear, timely updates to senior leadership and the Governing Board.

Education and Experience:
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Kansas or compact license required.
• 3-5 years of RN relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
