Duties
As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing essential direct patient care within an institutional hospital or clinic setting. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Delivering comprehensive nursing care to inmates, respecting legal, ethical, and institutional standards.
• Conducting detailed nursing assessments and planning, implementing, and evaluating tailored patient care.
• Identifying and managing high-risk patient symptoms and behaviors, including those at risk for self-harm or harm to others.
• Completing nutritional screenings and facilitating referrals to dietitians when appropriate.
• Monitoring and adjusting care plans to ensure the best possible health outcomes for all patients.
• Assessing and documenting discharge planning needs to maintain continuity of care.
• Coordinating and delegating patient care tasks based on thorough evaluations.
As an integral part of our correctional team, maintaining institution security is a primary responsibility that supersedes all other duties.
